About Me
I am an Assistant Professor of Hydrogeology with the UNM Earth and Planetary Sciences Department. My research focuses on improving how we use models (numerical, conceptual, data-driven, analytical, etc.) to make effective, risk-informed decisions around groundwater sustainability. I am always looking for talented students with experience in or a desire to learn groundwater decision support modeling. For specific openings, please see my opportunities page, otherwise feel free to reach out to me via email!
I received my Ph.D. in Hydrologic Sciences from the University of California, Davis and my B.Sc. in Geology with a Focus on Hydrogeology from the University of Texas at Austin. Before joining INTERA, I was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Arizona Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences.
When I’m not teaching or conducting hydrogeologic research, you can find me spending time with my wife and 3-year old daughter, riding/working on bikes, or climbing fake rocks.
